~~a geeks journey through the internet~~
31 Mar

First off I want to say that I am sorry. I have let this site become what I always dislike, a generic posting of links. Of course, with that these links are (some of the) items that I am reading during my daily journey online, so while its still a del.icio.us posting, its a little more personal, but it’s still not really a decent or in any way quality post. If nothing else it has served as a reminder that I have not totally abandoned the site.
I have just upgraded to Wordpress 2.5 and think I have found the direction I want to take. Its become hard to blog tech here, especially since I already do that over on Gadgetell. Instead I want to take this in a little more personal direction, more about the life of someone who is self-employed and works 100% on the Internet, both as a blogger and virtual call center worker.
I plan to discuss my findings and stuff that I pick up along the way. Some of it will focus on making money online, but not in a money-making blog way, more of a personal journey sort of way.
Overall I find that a lot amount of people are interested in hearing more about how I can make a living on line, so where better to tell the story and offer suggestions and advice for anyone who reads or will read in the future.
Keep in mind, while I am pretty open online, I rarely hid my identity on other sites such as Twitter, Flickr, RobertNelson.com and FriendFeed (assuming you are crazy enough to want to follow everything I do). I almost feel sometimes I should hide a little but feel comfortable enough and feel the information is already there if someone really wanted it. With that there are some details that I will have to keep quite, just because of non-disclosures with certain specific companies.
But with that we can expect to see areyouageek (?) begin to come back to life. While I am not 100% sold on the title, I am going with:
