This is a bad deal. I had checked out the site and he appears to be using for a real business purpose. I did not think he was trying to use someone else’s fame. Of course I am not into country music and really did not know who he was anyway. I really hope Keith Urban the US Painter wins this. Celebrity’s are in the public eye, but it does not mean they have more rights or are better in any way. This will be interesting to see how it turns out, hopefully I will see a follow up story down the road.

Former alcohol addict, cocaine abuser and Australian country singer Keith Urban has filed a lawsuit against a US painter of the same name. He claims that the lesser known Keith Urban’s website *KeithUrban.com* infringes trademark and cyber-squatting laws.
